Gemma Gelato Catering Team

Gemma Gelato is looking for energetic team members to man our vintage gelato carts at catered events.  Our events cover weddings, engagement parties, corporate events, birthdays, graduations, bar/bat mitzvahs and other special events.  Our customers run from The White House, Ritz Carlton, Marriott, and other Major Corporations to individuals hosting events.   We will provide you the training necessary to cater events and provide you with a copy of our Catering Team Server Manual.  This position offers flexible work hours and the ability to make great money in your spare time.

Qualifications

Able to set up and break down tables, signage, washing station, decorations and tent.

Able to work with customers – marketing talk, answer questions, be friendly and smile.

Able to run credit and debit card transactions through Square Merchant Terminal if retail event.

Able to serve gelato in tazza (cup), cono (cone) and pinta (pint)

Knowledge of our individual products, how we make our products, and why we are special.

Must be responsible and attend the events you are scheduled for.

Event Schedule

Events will be published through our app on your mobile telephone.  The first one to commit to an event will have priority position to be the contractor for that event.  You are required to arrive at your event ½ hour prior to start to set up and you may leave as soon as you have completed the break-down of the event which takes approximately ½ hour.

Gemma Gelato Catering Pay Schedule

Catering staff should arrive at least ½ hr prior to event start time and staff will break down setup at end of event – approximately ½ hr.

Uniforms for catering staff will be provided at event and uniforms are to be returned with cart and supplies at end of event.

Pay schedule includes actual event time, set up and break down time, and travel time.  Customers also tip servers.
